Comments:
A very fun Contest, but I could be active on Sunday only, is a shame because it would have achieved a good result. Anyway I am happy with the result of a single day of operation (7.5 hours). The propagation was very variable, with a aperture interesting to VK and toward the center of Europe that lasted all day.
At sunset stations SA, I could not hear any season of the NA, hoping to continue to improve the solar cycle.

Crónica de nuestro primer CQWWDX 160

En una de esas reuniones que mantenemos habitualmente, surgió la idea de salir en el CQWW-DX-SSB-160 metros, todo un reto para nosotros ya que éramos novicios en la TOP BAND. En una comida que tuvimos en Madrid varios operadores a principios del mes de Febrero decidimos que saldríamos desde el QTH de EC1KR en Ávila y usaríamos su indicativo en este concurso. Las antenas a montar: Una vertical en “L”, un dipolo de 1/2 y una beverage todo para 160 metros.

La aventura da comienzo la tarde-noche del Jueves 26 de Febrero cuando trasladamos desde el QTH de EC4DX dos amplificadores (hay que estar prevenidos) y mucho material de trabajo necesario. A las 01.30h de la madrugada estábamos cenando en Ávila, después de tomar unas copas y charlar de cómo se montaría el concurso.

Comments:

another year we have been faithful to the most important event for lovers of phone Contest. This year we received a visit from Murphy on several occasions, we have suffered with the antenna of 2 elm for 40m, an Acom 2000 is lost on the road and a couple of FT1000MP. We suffered a lot to make QSOs with the  U.S.A, there is a 900m mountain in that direction until Sunday do not work with real Comidad USA, we are confident that with 500 Americans who lost during the Friday night and Saturday afternoon our result would be better but has not been.

The team has worked very hard throughout the contest. And we are left with a nice taste. We would like to congratulate the many colleagues and EA multi-operators that have made great ratings and new records in its various Categories.
